Hessle Sporting Club Win 5-aside
In the anual HBSFL 5 aside tournament, Myton giants Hessle Sporting Club victorious. Ex Howden player Jack Binns played was in the event, following his recent transfer from Chris Hoff's Hessle Rangers to the 2nd place title challenger. The move came about after a fall out between player and manager.
The tournament consisted of teams 5, including Sporting Club, with Springhead FC, Cottingham Rangers, North Ferriby and Cavendish. The match was won by Sporting with a 3-1 win over North Ferriby, a reversal of last year's score.

THE HBSFL-THE INS AND OUTS OF WHICH LEAGUE WE ARE IN
|
The HBSFL (Hull Boys Sunday Football League) is a league which players from hte age of 9 to 18 can contest in. Each indivual age group is spilt into several leagues; in mini-soccer (u'9, and 10s) Division 1 and 2, however from the age of 11, their are four leagues, the Myton (Div 1), Drypool (Div 2), Wyke (Div 3) and the Kingston (Div 4)
In each league, two teams are promoted each year with two relagated to the league below them.
Howden, therefore are in the Wyke league, becuase they first joined the HBSFL as under 12s in the Kingston league, becoming champions, hence promotion to the Wyke league.
Team particiaptaing have to be in or around the Hull area, with teams coming from Leconfield (in the middle of no-where) to teams from eastern Hull,such as AFC Preston.
There is also anual cup and plate competitions, with the finals held at Dene Court, Home Of Dunswell AFC.

FROM INGS VIEW TO BOOTHFERRY?
It is rumoured that the Cup and Plate Finalists from this years 2003/2004 cup competetions could have the chance to play at the world famoous Boothferry Park, he old home of Hull City AFC.
The Tigers moved to their new stadium just down the road to The Circle, or the KC Stadium.
This would allow the finalists a chance to play in a pro stadia and possibly picked up by any scouts appearing on the day.
The league has yet to confirm this, however life long Hul fan Danny Wright will be extremely interested in his teams success in the cups this year.
