The Worst Defence Ever?

Spare a thought for poor rock bottom Kingston team Molescroft Under 14's who have leaked, or more burst a huge pipe conceeding 181 goals in just 13 games, averaging 13.9 goals a game.

In a full page feature in local newspaper Hull Daily Mail on Tuesday, the players and managers discussed their problems in a public humiliation. Managed by Wayne Rooney, namesake of the Everton striker and Lee Hadfield, who have even tried putting all 11 players on the line for set pieces and using the offside trap, however still conceeded goals as their constantly pressurised goalkeeper Phillip Ingleson remains upbeat, saying " I haven' t got a bad back yet from picking the ball out of the net. People always blame the goalkeeper but it's a team game and we can only get better." He continued "I'm not going to give up trying and neither are any of the other lads. Even though we end up losing, we always give it 100 per cent."

The heaviest defeat of the season, was the 20 goal romp of Bridlington Spartans without reply. At the other end, Molescroft have only managed to score 3 goals throughout the season, possessing the worst record in all 24 divisions of the Hull Boys League.

Despite the onslaught, Molescroft are a fairly new team, and only have a  handful of talented players, however the rest of the team are 100 commitied acorrding to manager Lee Hadfield, who believes things can only get better with pratice.

Good luck to Molescroft for this season and the for the future.
